Listening to Ourselves: Internal Listening and Mental Models (WEBINAR)

Listening to Ourselves: Internal Listening and Mental Models

The following is a recorded webinar of a listening workshop for Life Sciences Trainers & Educators Network, L-TEN

Listening to ourselves involves being present with ourselves and more aware of our needs, feelings, judgments, mental models and stories. Unless we can listen to ourselves mindfully, there's little chance of being able to listen well to others.

During this webinar, Ranieka Weston of United Therapeutics and the LTEN Board of Directors and Lauren Green of Dancing with Markers guided participants through a thought-provoking session, where we considered what it means to “listen to ourselves.” We explored the concepts of listening, mental models and internal storytelling, as well as offered a reflection activity that may be used any time to improve self-listening.
