After grad school, I wasn’t sure if I was young enough or good enough to keep dancing the way I had been in my twenties. Having a life coach helped me rediscover the role that dance has in my life. I stopped waiting. I got out of my own way. I started dancing. I started teaching. I started considering what else I could do with my passion.
As we get advance in life, the role of dance often changes and can take on different facets—a hobby, a career path, a spiritual journey, a passion, a release. What is the role of dance for you now? What is the role of dance in your past? Your present? Your future? What lessons has it brought you? What does it give you? What do you hope to gain from it?
What is Coaching?
A coach is a partner who walks with you as you explore and discover. We act as a witness, a mirror, a listener, an empower, and sometimes, a disruptor—whatever behaviors you need in order to build new habits and reach your goals. Whether you are a student trying to figure out a future in dance; a professional trying to find passions beyond dance; or a mature dancer who wants to bring dance back into your life—coaches have a unique toolkit to help find the steps forward.
How Do I Learn More?
If you have a passion for dance and a desire for change, let’s talk about whether coaching is a good option for you. During a no cost coaching info session, we will discuss:
What’s the Investment?
Consider what you would spend for physical therapy, a private class, or a master artist workshop. A dance coach teaches dance. A life coach helps you dance with your life. This is a similar investment in yourself, focused on your emotional and spiritual well-being.
Interested in “group coaching,” for your dance company, dance team or faculty? Having a group session can help heal conflict and move towards positive working relationships. We can talk about this option, too!
